Diploma in customs and freight logistics
The Diploma in Customs and Freight Logistics course aim at equipping practicing and potential Customs Agents and Freight Logisticians with competencies that enable them to perform Customs and Freight functions as per set laws and international best practices.
Learning Goals:
- Augment the knowledge and application of standards in customs procedures.
- Enhance the application of freight forwarding standards and efficient supply chain management.
- Foster behavioral change of the customs clearing & freight forwarding agents.
At the end of the course, a participant shall be able to:
- Clear goods through Customs and other agencies expeditiously in compliance with the relevant laws, rules and regulations;
- Manage the process of forwarding goods from consignors to consignees efficiently;
- Manage warehousing of goods in bonded and non-bonded warehouses
- Manage normal and complex logistics of imports and exports of goods
- Manage the different aspects of a freight forwarding business entity including employees, financial resources, customers and communications
- Observe professional standards and ethical practices in the delivery of clearing and forwarding services.
The Diploma in Customs and Freight Logistics curriculum has a total of 31 competencies, two of which are exempted for Kenyan learners (English and Numeracy Skills). The remaining 29 units will be covered in the 20 units offered over a period of 4 semesters as shown in the table below:

The Academic Requirement for admission is KCSE Mean grade of C.
Course Fees
The total course fees will be KShs. 200,000, which will be paid per
semester (KShs. 50,000 for each semester).
Exemptions
Graduates of CC&FL (formerly EACFFPC) may be exempted the following
units, subject to them fulfilling the requirements in the KESRA exemption
policy:
